BAYAN USA operates as a comprehensive organizing and advocacy center serving the Filipino community and progressive movements throughout Los Angeles, CA and across the United States. As an alliance of 20 progressive Filipino organizations, BAYAN USA provides essential services including political education, community organizing, and advocacy work focused on advancing the rights and welfare of Filipinos in America. The organization functions as an information bureau for the national democratic movement of the Philippines, offering resources, analysis, and strategic guidance to members and allies. BAYAN USA specializes in mobilizing diverse sectors including students, scholars, women, workers, artists, and youth around shared anti-imperialist and progressive objectives. The organization's work encompasses raising political consciousness, building grassroots movements, and connecting local Filipino issues to broader international struggles for justice and self-determination. Through coordinated campaigns and educational initiatives, BAYAN USA works to strengthen Filipino unity in the diaspora while building international solidarity with other oppressed peoples. Based in Los Angeles, the organization serves as the first and largest international chapter of Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN Philippines), bringing national democratic principles and organizing strategies to Filipino communities across the United States.
