The Filipino American Lawyers Association of New York (FALA New York) is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the careers and interests of Filipino American legal professionals throughout the New York metropolitan area. Serving the New York, NY community since 2013, FALA New York provides comprehensive professional development opportunities, networking events, and educational programming for Filipino American law students, paralegals, attorneys, judges, and other legal professionals. The organization hosts the acclaimed "Making It" speaker series, featuring experienced practitioners who share insights on career development across various practice areas, including white collar practice and in-house counsel roles. FALA New York also organizes social and cultural events such as Pasko celebrations, Halo-Halloween mixers, and Grill 'n' Chill gatherings that foster camaraderie within the legal community. As a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit corporation incorporated in New York, FALA New York collaborates with major legal organizations including the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA), the Asian American Bar Association of New York (AABANY), and the Filipino American Legal Defense and Education Fund to co-sponsor Know Your Rights educational series, continuing legal education presentations, and judicial advancement workshops. The organization has expanded its reach by hosting the prestigious 2023 Pinay Powerhouse national conference focused on empowering Filipina attorneys as leaders, and the 2025 NFALA Mid-Year Summit.
