The Consulate General of the Philippines in Houston, Texas (Houston PCG) had its soft opening on 24 September 2018, exactly 25 years after it closed its doors in September 1993.

It is expected to uphold and protect overseas Filipinos’ fundamental rights and freedoms, provide assistance to Filipino nationals in need, promote Philippine culture in the United States, and strengthen economic ties between the South-Central region of the US and the Philippines.

The Philippine Consulate General in Houston is currently headed by Consul General Jerril G. Santos who assumed his post upon his arrival on 30 July 2018. The Consul General is assisted by the following consular officials:

Vice Consul Marco Angelo Lopez

Houston PCG offers the following consular services: passport application; visa application; dual citizenship application; civil registry such as Report of Birth, Report of Marriage, and Report of Death; notarial and authentication services such as affidavits, certifications, acknowledgment; issuance of travel documents; and NBI clearance fingerprinting.

The Consulate General exercises consular jurisdiction over the following States:

Arkansas
Louisiana
Mississippi
New Mexico
Oklahoma
Texas

It also exercises supervision over the Philippine Consulates in Dallas, Texas and New Orleans, Louisiana, both headed by Honorary Consuls.
